The National Secondary Section of Colegio Americano offers an alternative education in an experimental framework defined by programs accredited by: AdvancED and the IB (International Baccalaureate Organization).

The Middle Years Program (MYP) curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Organization is implemented from seventh to tenth grade.

Eleventh and twelfth grade students are subject to the curriculum of the IB Diploma Program (International Baccalaureate Organization).

The Middle Years Program (MYP) and the Diploma Program (DP) are rigorous and are characterized by critical thinking and active learning.

These programs are directed towards the development of practical experiences, in a student-centered environment.
