Extracurricular activities are part of the educational proposal offered by Colegio Americano to its students, providing a comprehensive education aimed at achieving academic excellence and training of individuals that are critical and sensitive to the current reality.
Primary
The Extracurricular Activities of the Primary Section operate under the supervision of a person appointed by the Administration.
They start from the second week of September. They are targeted at students in grades 3rd through 6th, Monday through Thursday, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Various alternatives are offered such as sports activities: track and field, soccer, basketball, volleyball, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, and as non-sports activities: art, computer, dance and dance, UN, cooking, drama and chess.
Secondary
The extracurricular activities offered are intended to develop and deepen the academic programs of IB (International Baccalaureate) program in the subjects of Computing, History, Psychology, English, Spanish, Economics, Chemistry, Environmental Studies and Physics. In addition, in order to encourage the students’ skills and abilities, clubs are offered in other areas of knowledge such as journalism, art and theater.
These activities are held Monday through Friday, from 2:50 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
